Read - Read - Read

Even if you have never been much of a recreational reader, now is the time to develop a habit of reading for your own benefit.

Explore different genres; historical fiction, biographies, fiction, non-fiction and books that reflect your interests.  When you are ready to write your college admission essays or interview for a scholarship, you will have a wealth of perspectives and insight to convey.

If you need help finding good books to read, do an internet search for book club recommendations for teen and adolescent readers.

An example of a good resource is the adlit.org recommended book list.
