By May 1- Accept or decline the offers of admission to all of your prospective schools. If you have deposits at any of the schools you’ve decided against, make sure you request a refund of that deposit. To finalize your commitment to your chosen school, make sure they have your deposit by May 1st. AP Exams- Study for your AP exams, which will take place later this month. If you score high enough on your AP exam, you may be able to exempt that same class in college. These exams are given on the same day across the country and are strictly proctored and administered. Transcripts- Make sure to notify your school to send your final transcripts to your chosen college as soon as final grades have been entered. Take time to thank, in writing preferably, the people who gave you guidance or wrote letters on your behalf. Let them know the outcome of your college search and your plans for your education. Prepare for graduation- Take care of all of the items to prepare for graduation; photos, invitations, cap and gown, etc. Take time to thank your family and anyone else who has played a pivotal role in your life. This is not only your shining moment, it’s an accomplishment that your family shares with you. Finish strong- Even though you may have mentally moved on from high school, don’t end your senior year with an academic “whimper”. Study hard and finish strong. Related Article:
