FEBRUARY GAME PLAN - 12th GRADE

Stay focused and avoid senior-itis! You still need a strong 2nd semester.  This can be a very challenging time for students who have finished their applications and are already envisioning their life after high school.

Check with your colleges to make sure they have all of your information.  Any missing scores, transcripts and letters of recommendation should be sent immediately.

Final Scholarship Interviews- The largest merit scholarships will typically have their final interviews in February or March.  The final interviews are typically more intensive than the semi-final interviews and may require sessions with one or more interview panels.  If possible, speak to a current recipient of the scholarship for which you are competing in order to get some insight into what to expect and how to prepare.

Congressional Award-  If you are working on your Congressional Award, you may have time now to finish up the remaining requirements for the medal on which you’re working.  Complete any missing hours for community service, fitness, personal growth or exploration and document your activities.  Complete your application packet, have your Congressional Medal advisor review it and submit it to Washington.
